Amber Venteicher

I began my yoga journey in January 2015. For the first time after becoming a new mother, I found both deep relaxation and strength in my mind and body. I was ready to release my lifestyle of exhaustion I had been living. Deep down I knew I needed to take a softer approach to loving myself to have the energy and compassion necessary to raise this child. Being a mother has always held a special place in my heart, so in my yoga practice, I found myself learning about balance, harmony and loving freely. I completed my 200 hr RYT training here at Karma Yoga with Lisa Kanne in 2017. I have since completed yin yoga certification and Reiki I attunement. My favorite styles of yoga are vinyasa, yin, restorative and nidra. My discovery of meditation in 2016 has deepened my yoga practice more and more. I love showing my students the power of slowing down and the truth of relaxation and stillness. Listening and developing awareness of body and mind allows us to access our true essence. I love to incorporate yang and yin aspects of yoga into my classes, as one does not exist without the other. My love for deep relaxation and connection to intuition led me to the practice of Yoga Nidra or “yogic sleep”. Nidra practice has the power to help us release old habits and patterns in our lives. As a pharmacist and yoga instructor, I have a passion for balancing both eastern and western medicine. Medicine has its place in our modern world, but is never a replacement for a healthy lifestyle. I love to spend my time journaling with a hot cup of tea, reading, cooking, gardening, playing with my son, Arlo, getting out in nature at every opportunity, blending essential oils, reading Tarot cards and meditating. I plan to complete Reiki II training and also a Yoga Nidra certification in the near future. Soften your world, see the strength of your heart and be a rebel in this society that measures exhaustion and worthiness on the same scale. Om Mani Padme Hum.
